Family Fundays
Pack a picnic and bring the whole family to Greenway Farm City Park for an afternoon of activity and family fun! Outdoor Chattanooga will provide equipment for families to try archery at our outdoor archery range or rent a canoe for $10 per person to paddle on North Chickamauga Creek. There’s trails to explore by foot and bike, and plenty of green lawn to throw frisbees, play freeze tag or enjoy a picnic. Our staff will be on hand to help with archery and canoeing. All other activities are self guided. Our activities are appropriate for ages 5 and up. See you at the park on Sunday for a family funday!
Families should check in with Outdoor Chattanooga staff at the outdoor archery range next to the dog park at Greenway Farm Park in Hixson, TN.
Canoeing: Outdoor Chattanooga will provide all the equipment for you to paddle the creek at your own pace. (tandem canoes, PFD, paddle) Canoes are available from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m at the boat ramp behind the gardens. There is a fee for canoeing $10 per person. First come, first served. We can only accept cash or check on site!

Outdoor Chattanooga staff will provide the instruction, guidance, and equipment for this activity. Available between 4pm and 7pm. This activity is free.
Nature Hike: Seek adventure in a classic nature hike at the park. Take a leisurely stroll or head to the hills with suggested routes and a self guiding map. Ask for a scavenger hunt list for some extra fun. No fee.
A liability release form will be required for canoeing and archery. Severe weather may cancel or delay this program. No reservation required to attend. First come, first serve as equipment is limited.
