Bike Commuting 101
Traffic Skills for Bike Commuting 101 is the best first step towards learning how to drive your bicycle in traffic. Outdoor Chattanooga’s League of American Bicyclists Certified Instructors (LCI’s) have the training and expertise to teach you the techniques on how to ride safely and predictably on the road. Using video tutorials, Q&A, and a guided ride on city streets, our instructors will teach you the basic rules and techniques for driving your bicycle in traffic. This free class is offered upon request for individuals and groups ages 16 and up. Contact Outdoor Chattanooga to learn more and schedule a date/time that works for you.
What You’ll Learn
- TN State and Chattanooga laws pertaining to bicycles
- Lane positioning and changing
- Signaling and scanning
- Basic bicycle safety and helmet check

When is this class offered?
Classes are offered upon request for individuals and groups. Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate. Email info@outdoorchattanooga.com or call 423-643-6888 to learn more and register.
