After the never-ending summer-like heat wave we experienced all through September, we’re hoping October finally brings some cooler weather to Chattanooga! Along with a reprieve to the heat and some colorful fall foliage, October also brings a full schedule of fall festivals, concerts and events to keep all you outdoor enthusiasts busy every weekend! Since we love the outdoors and live music here in Chattanooga, we love the idea of outdoor concerts and festivals. The 13th Annual 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival is October 4 & 5 on Ross’ Landing. Outdoor Chattanooga will once again hostFireside at Greenway Farm Park, an Outdoor Concert Series that occurs every Thursday in October from 7-9 PM. The Levitt AMP Series by RISE Chattanooga continues through the end of October on the lawn at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center on Thursday evenings and the Big 9 Roots Festival will be held there as well on October 5. River City Sessions at Lula Lake is always a local favorite. There’s also Ketner’s Mill, a pumpkin festival, an apple festival, and a water latern festival. During Cycle Sequatchie, hundreds of cyclists will enjoy a ride through the most picturesque valley in the South followed by a farm-to-table lunch and outdoor expo! There’s even more that we couldn’t mention here, so open up our October Newsletter to find the event that perfect for you!
