Rapid Learning RIVER/ Whitewater Kayak Instruction

The Rapid Learning program provides formal river instruction to beginning paddlers teaching proper techniques and offering guided practice to safely and comfortably paddle moving water up to class III+ whitewater. These beginner rated river classes are held on class I-II whitewater. This classification of water produces light riffles to regular waves, clear open passages between rocks and ledges and does require some boat control. Partner Program: On My Own 2 Wheels

On My Own 2 Wheels is a multi-tiered program designed to engage the homeless to become more physically active, learn safe bicycle transportation practices, and earn a bicycle. Participants are pre-registered and managed by Chattanooga Track Club and the Community Kitchen. Outdoor Chattanooga's staff provide the bicycle education and lead group rides for road skills and route practice. This program welcomes volunteers for ride support!
