March 2020

Are you ready to March into Spring? We are and we’re seeking qualified candidates to work with us this summer! If your idea of a dream job is to get paid to play outside, then you should apply for the Outdoor Trip Leader – Seasonal positions that are open now! Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid TN driver’s license, have current CPR/First Aid Certifications and experience leading outdoor activities. Not only are we hiring outdoor trip leaders for the upcoming season, but we’ve also compiled a list of outdoor activities happening in and around Chattanooga and put them in our March Newsletter to inspire you to get outside play. We’re offering free indoor archery sessions every Wednesday through the end of March, two guided hikes on the Cumberland Trail, a family-friendly Bigfoot hike to Mushroom Rock and a mountain bike course at the Great Outdoor Festival. Community events include the Chattanooga Marathon, endurance trail races, Weed Wrangle, and Spring Hikes with TN State Parks and Natural Areas. Thrive Regional Partnership is polling outdoor recreationists in the region to see where they go outside to play in an effort to connect local communities to the rising recreation economy. As a reader of our newsletter, your input is valued! This information will help Thrive and its partners support local communities as they build economic strategies around outdoor recreation and tourism. Take the survey →
