Join Outdoor Chattanooga and a local National Military Park Service interpretive ranger for an interpretive kayak tour on a section of the West Chickamauga Creek Blueway. This guided and equipped kayak tour is an adventure taking you on a journey to envision what it was like prior to and during the Battle of Chickamauga, getting thousands of Confederate soldiers across West Chickamauga Creek was not easy. With its steep banks and most of its bridges under Union control, other means of crossing the creek had to be found. This is where the various farmers’ fords came into play, several of which you will see and discuss on this tour.
Appropriate for Adults and kids ages 16 and older only.
Kayaks provided.
You will receive more specific location information with registration.
