Go Fish – For Reel, Intro to Fishing

Explore the basics of fishing in this hands-on class set against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Chickamauga. Perfect for beginners, this outdoor experience teaches essential skills, from using simple bait to casting techniques and reeling in your catch. Learn about local fish species, sustainable fishing practices, and the joy of spending time in nature. All equipment is provided, so just bring your enthusiasm and love for the outdoors! Ideal for families, friends, or anyone looking to dive into the world of fishing in a relaxed, scenic environment. A valid Tennessee Fishing license is required for ages 13 and up, and details on requirements and purchases can be found here.
This is a FREE event and appropriate for people aged 6+ but all are welcome.
Location: Chester Frost County Park. Participants are to meet at the parking area and then walk over to the new pier located next to the main power boat ramp. Parking next to the new pier is for boats/trailers, so please park in the other lot. Outdoor Chattanooga signage will be posted to indicate the location.
