Join Outdoor Chattanooga for a Classic Hike at Walden’s Ridge Park. This park encompasses 200-acres of outdoor fun including mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and bouldering. A trail system on the east face of Signal Mountain boasts a very beautiful and diverse canopy, almost 800 feet in elevation gain, and the distinct woodland qualities as part of the Cumberland Plateau. Only ten minutes from downtown this is certainly worth a visit! No experience is necessary and our guides will take you on a beginner friendly hike rated moderate that is approximately 3 miles. The hike will take about 2.5 hours and ALL DOWN HILL. Includes shuttle transportation. This park would not be possible without the network of nonprofits and outdoor enthusiasts that pull together to make Chattanooga an adventure destination. A big thanks is due to the North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy (NCCC), SORBA Chattanooga, The Land Trust for Tennessee, the Southeastern Climbers Coalition, and Hamilton County Parks and Recreation. Each organization played a unique and integral role in the process of the park’s development.
When: February 15th at 9am.
Cost: FREE!
Registration is required. (Opens 2 weeks before the event and closes 2 days before).
