Starr Mountain Cherokee National Forest

The Starr Mountain Horse Trail Complex consists of about 20 miles of trails ranging from short loop trails to long overnight rides.

The Lost Corral Horse Camp is located across Spring Creek Rd. from Hiwassee-Ocoee Scenic River State Park’s Gee Creek Campground. 

Trail options can take riders over the ridge of Starr Mountain and through the bottomlands along Bullet Creek.

Trails can be accessed from the Lost Corral Trailhead, which is located across from Gee Creek Campground (Hiwassee-Ocoee State Park) on Spring Creek Rd. just off Highway 411 between Benton and Etowah, TN or off Forest Rd. 44 of TN 315, Tellico Reliance Rd.
