Glass House Collective and Empower (green|spaces) are hosting the East Chatt Highlight Festival, a 3 day event centered around “The Pool”, an interactive lighted art exhibit by Jen Lewin, where all ages are encouraged to come out to play, dance and move on the 'pods' as the colors change with and around them. The festival kicks off on Friday, April 21 with a Hip Hop and Spoken Word event called Lyrical Lights. On Saturday, April 22, Gospel on Glass will begin at 3pm and a live DJ begins at 7:30pm. On Sunday, April 23 there will be a Family Picnic event featuring inflatables, food trucks, entertainment, and more. The festival will take place at the site of the former Harriet Tubman housing site, at 1900 Roanoke Ave., across from Hope for the Inner City and a continuation of Glass Street just beyond Hardy Elementary School.
